Chart notes
RUDIOBUS pressed the pace two-deep early, bid between horses at the top of the stretch, waged a spirited battle between a pair of rivals through the stretch, put a nose in front at the furlong pole, lost that lead late, then came back determinedly to win the head bob at the wire. WORKHARD PLAYHARD broke well, took the early initiative with RUDIOBUS pressing to the outside, kept a head in front under a threat from that one and IMPRESSIVENESS near the quarter pole, dueled gamely the length of the stretch but lost the last jump. IMPRESSIVENESS allowed to settle early, circled the field three-wide on the far turn, was the outside horse in a three-way battle down the stretch but came up short in the end. REBEL PRINCE settled off the pace but not far from the front in the compact field, launched a bid late on the turn, and was gaining ground late but came up short. KALATUA rushed up to join the leaders after a slow start, backed off, then became stuck behind horses on the turn, had a clear path into the stretch but tired. WILLING ONE settled near the back and was unable to generate a rally. FOXIESBAYMALLOW raced three wide and lacked a late bid. THE JOCKEY ON #6 IMPRESSIVENESS LODGED A CLAIM OF FOUL AGAINST BOTH THE WINNER #4 RUDIOBUS AND #2 WORKHARD PLAYHARD, ALLEGING INTERFERENCE NEAR THE TOP OF THE STRETCH. AFTER A REVIEW, THE STEWARDS DISALLOWED BOTH CLAIMS, AND THE ORIGINAL ORDER OF FINISH WAS MADE OFFICIAL.
