Chart notes
INTO GOLD got squeezed at the start to be away slowly, moved up down the backstretch to join the pacesetting pair on the turn, made a bid for the lead past the quarter pole, wore down the leaders with a steady finish under strong handlin, got the head in front just yards from the finish and hit the wire just ahead of a fast closing rival on the outside. GAPPER was not asked for early speed, then rallied from last through the turn, made a three-wide sweep through the turn, bid five-wide into the stretch and finished well under steady handling to just miss. THE PINK Z stalked MUTINY through the early stages, then moved up on the turn to bid for the lead, dueled that stubborn foe to mid-stretch, then finished on good courage but was outfinished in the final yards. MUTINY hustled to the front from the break, held a length clear down the backstretch, then got some pressure from THE PINK Z through the turn, battled gamely to mid-stretch, then gave way just before the sixteenth maker. DERBY INCLUDED broke in at the start, settled near the rear, then was unable to manage a meaningful bid in the late stages. TURNING PAGES broke out at the start, settled inside with the trailing group, saved ground throughout, but lacked a late bid.
