Chart notes
INTO GOLD exchanged a bump with DERBY INCLUDED at the star,t then pressed three-wide under a hold, was roused leaving the quarter pole, took a short lead, then was put to intermittent urging through the stretch, put a head in front late, and held. SPIRIT OF AKRON broke quickest from the gate, went to the front, was pressed to the outside by INTO GOLD from the start, traded punches with that one through the turn, then battled gamely with that rival when set down at the top of the stretch, never gave in but was outfinished in the shadow of the wire and had to settle for the place. MO DONT NO tracked four-wide not far behind the pacesetters, came five-wide into the stretch, closed much ground in the final yards but ran out of time. DERBY INCLUDED mutually bumped with INTO GOLD at the break, tracked between horses close behind the early pace, was boxed in late on the turn but angled to a clear path along the rail, rallied, but came up short. GAPPER raced four to six wide throughout and finished with mild interest. RAISE THE PURSES allowed to settle, then tracked mid-pack along the rail, struggled to keep up through the turn, and was unable to threaten. GOLDSTRIKER was outrun early, ran on some late to regain contact with the field but was never a threat. RED HEAD KID showed good speed and raced close up to the stretch, then tired. A PRAYER FOR KIDS got shuffled back at the start, dropped far behind, was eased to the finish line, and walked off. Copyright 2026 Equibase Company LLC. All Rights Reserved.
