Chart notes
COLONEL VARGO stalked MORETHANREADYEDDIE through the early stages, bid for the lead approaching the quarter pole, was initially unable to put away that stubborn rival, then gained the advantage inside the furlong marker and went clear to the wire. DOCTOR WU raced between horses in the second flight through the early stages, then responded when under a ride from the three-furlong pole, moved into second in deep stretch but did not threaten the winner. LOMACHENKO settled four-wide near the back, moved up as the field headed into the turn, was under a ride and with every chance at the top of the stretch, but flattened out a bit and finished evenly. MORETHANREADYEDDIE brushed with SO DIALED IN a the start, then made the lead with some pressure to the outside from COLONEL VARGO, maintained a narrow lead through the turn, then fought back when challenged by that rival approaching the stretch, but tired and gave way in the final furlong. SO DIALED IN ducked in at the start, made light contact wtih MORETHANREADYEDDIE , chased from the rear, swung four wide into the stretch under urging, but never threatened. SUNSET TOWN rushed up to join the leaders after a tardy start, came under a stiff drive passing the three-furlong pole, and had no response. MONTAUK COVE dropped back to last after a good start, steadied in traffic going into the turn, lost momentum, then came wide into the stretch and lacked a rally.
