Chart notes
MIZZEN THE POINT veered in at the start, then settled four-wide off the pace, launched a bid from the three-furlong pole, collared NATIONAL DIAMOND on the lead near the quarter pole, then dueled with KOZY NIGHT down the stretch, then edged ahead in the final yards. KOZY NIGHT broke in at the start, pressed the early pace two-deep, was stuck behind horses late on the turn, then took advantage of an opening off the rail into the stretch, dueled with MIZZEN THE POINT through the final furlong but was outfinished in the final yards. BOOGIE BOOGEE got away well then settled inside, just behind the pace, waited for room to late on the turn, then tipped out to the five-path, finished up well and won the battle for the minor award. EXPRESS FASHION stumbled exiting the gate, chased the main pack to the turn, then got floated out six-wide into the stretch and finished up well, was steadily closing the gap nearing the wire, but came up short. NATIONAL DIAMOND broke well then vied three-wide for the early lead, bid for the lead passing the three-furlong pole, only to be immediately taken on by MIZZEN THE POINT, battled gamely to deep stretch, then gave way late. HIGH FIRE veered out at the start and made contact with the outside rival, dropped far behind the field while under a ride, then made a late rally to pass tired foes and was gaining good ground in the late stages. KERRI'S MIRACLE got shut off at the start, took up and spotted the field a head start, moved up wide through the turn, then came about seven or eight-wide into the stretch but was unable to improve. GO GIRL broke well went a length clear early, then weakened on the turn and had nothing left in the stretch.
