Chart notes
BLUE MAX broke out at the start, raced close up but four-wide with the compact front pack, bid four-wide into the stretch, made the lead inside the furlong pole and held off a rival in the final yards to prevail. MAKING ME CRAZY raced in a pocket behind the pacesetters, swung five-wide into the stretch, finished well, just missed. FLORIDA GATOR got the inside position contesting the early pace, got a nice inside run into the stretch when SCRATCHOFF drifted wide, finished up well, but could not match the top pair in the late stages. SCRATCHOFF got a clean break and was hustled into the early pace mix, poked a head in front before the half with a quartet in close pursuit, came under pressure near the quarter pole, kept on with good coursage to mid-stretch, but was outfinished late. FAT DADDY lacked early speed, settled well behind the rest, to the outside of OHIO STRONG, made a mild move on the turn, came four-wide into the stretch, but flattened out racing on the wrong lead. DEVILS RED vied three-wide to the turn, came under a ride after passing the three-furlong pole, failed to change leads in the stretch, and tired. OHIO STRONG was outrun.
