Chart notes
FANCY DANCER allowed to settle early on, tracked three deep to the turn, made a steady advance to the quarter pole then swung four to five wide to upper stretch, responded well into the lane then made a bold rally into the final sixteenth, surged in deep stretch and got up in the final strides to prevail. COLONEL HORTON raced close up to the early pace, pressed the pace two wide and between foes into the turn, chased POCO YO along the bend then confronted that rival to upper stretch, battled to the furlong grounds then shook free and led into the final sixteenth, was all out in deep stretch then was nailed for the win in the final strides, while besting the rest. WEST IS WEST broke a step slowly, settled while saving ground in the early stages, advanced along the rail into the turn, tipped three wide to upper stretch then was set down for the drive, was outkicked in the final sixteenth but was clear in the end for third. POCO YO showed speed and took early command, set the pace to the turn then dictated terms to the quarter marker, met the bid of COLONEL HORTON to upper stretch, could not hold off oncoming rivals late and faded in the final sixteenth. TOWHEE settled in the early running, made a steady advance while saving ground into the turn, angled three wide to the stretch and continued his bid to the furlong pole, could not sustain that run to the final sixteenth and flattened out late. COME HOME settled in the second flight in the early stages, ran in pursuit two then three wide along the turn, swung widest to upper stretch, needed more in the late stages and offered a mild rally. FANTASMA settled off of the early pace, tracked four wide to the turn, was outrun along the bend and did not factor in the stretch drive. LUCKY'S SNIPER was forwardly placed early on, chased the pace three wide to the turn, lost position nearing the quarter marker, could not find more into the stretch and tired. GEORGE'S SURPRISE away in good order, settled off of the early pace, was outrun to the turn, trailed to the quarter marker, was eased through the stretch and walked off.
