Chart notes
ROAD TO STARDOM broke well, raced close up three wide to the half, then took command, shrugged off a challenge from CRYO through the turn, then held clear through the stretch under strong handling and intermittent urging. HAGLER got a clean break, raced close up early, then was without a clear path through the turn, angled out to the six-path for the stretch run, and finished up well to gain the place. MAKING ME CRAZY settled mid-pack, advanced under a ride from the three-furlong pole, swung five-wide into the stretch, and produced a grinding finish to get up into third. CRYO raced between horses in the second flight, made a good forward move approaching the quarter pole under a stiff ride, loomed a threat in upper stretch, but was outfinished and missed out on the minor award. LOST IN MANHATTAN broke on top, led clear for a quarter mile, then gave way. DREWPOWER was devoid of early speed and trailed well behind to the turn, started to run on from the three-furlong pole, was mildly gaining late while never a serious threat. ORB OF THE BORO pressed the early pace from between horses early, briefly went on with ROAD TO STARDOM heading into the turn, but weakened and did not have much to offer in the stretch run. GILLIGAN was up on the pace early, steadied going into the turn, and was never able to regain momentum.
