Chart notes
MY DETROIT CITY allowed to settle in the early stages while never far back, angled to the rail approaching the turn and was well placed nearing the quarter pole, made a sustained rail bid into the stretch, vied for the lead nearing the sixteenth-pole, took command in deep stretch then drew clear late. BUZZ ADAMS contested the early pace from the inside, dueled with BANJO into the turn then shook free of that rival into upper stretch, led while in the two path into the lane and met oncoming bids at the furlong pole, was outfinished in deep stretch and held for second at the wire. ROCK ANNA ROLL rated off of the early pace and tracked from the second flight along the backstretch, chased three wide to the quarter pole, bid to upper stretch then vied for the lead nearing the furlong marker, was outkicked in the final sixteenth and held safely late for third. DOCTOR'S ORDERS got shuffled back at the start and was last away from the gate, settled off of the early pace and trailed to the turn, advanced three to four wide at the quarter marker, rallied widest to upper stretch, could not sustain his run to the final sixteenth and flattened out late. CHARLIE'S EXPRESS settled just off of the early pace and tracked from the inside along the backstretch, was well placed to the turn and ran in pursuit two wide and between foes nearing the quarter marker, was outkicked into the stretch and could not muster the needed late response. BANJO showed good early speed, contested the pace outside of BUZZ ADAMS along the backstretch, dueled that rival into the turn and disputed the pace to the quarter marker, lost position to upper stretch then tired in the drive.
