SAUCY ARGUMENT was the distant trailer for the first half, started to run on approaching the three-furlong pole, swung out eight-wide into the stretch, and rallied past the field in the late to win going away. THROWIN' SHADE raced three-wide in the second flight through the early stages, made a middle move to gain contention on the turn, advanced to be in range and bid for the lead at the top of the stretch, was no match for the winner late, but outlasted the rest to take the second prize. SPINNING ACES was away best and secured inside position on the first turn and a piece of the lead, was the inside horse in the five-way scramble for the early lead, tried to quicken on the far turn but was matched by DUVEE nd INFINTESIMAL, put both of those rivals away in upper stretch, kept on gamely but could not hold off the top pair in the final yards. IT'S A SECRET went four-wide into the first turn, contested the early pace four-wide down the backstretch, and tired in the lane. HOOSIER was near the back of the second group for the first half-mile, kept to the inside path through the far turn, moved out a path to get around a tired rival, but lacked the needed response in the stretch. DUVEE was between horses in the pace battle and weakened in upper stretch. SYVESTAR raced at the front of the second flight, kept mostly to an inside path, and had a modest finish. INFINITESIMAL was three-wide in the early pace mix, dropped out passing the seven-sixteenths marker and was not involved late. BLUE CHEESE was not asked for speed from the break, settled near the back of the field early on, started a steady advance from the five-furlong pole, navigated through horses on the far turn, loomed at the quarter pole, was blocked in upper stretch, then had nothing left to give, and stopped. AMERICAN DOLLARS settled in the middle of the second group, was five-wide and under the crop late on the backstretch run, lost contact with the field midway through the far turn, and had nothing to offer in the stretch.
