Chart notes
S D'S TAKEOVER was beaten into the first turn with the rider looking for a way out but not finding one, kept to the inside down the backstretch, then responded when asked to kick on passing the three-furlong pole, opened up on the field turning for home, and held clear and safe to the finish under steady handling. POSTUP won the scramble into the first turn, had a narrow lead through moderate fractions to the half, came under a drive past the three-furlong pole as the eventual winner took control of the race, kept on well despite not changing leads in the stretch, and managed to save the place. TOMS LUCKY MO gave an even effort, hugged the inner rail through the late stages, and was just up for the minor award. STRAIGHT DROPBILLY stalked the pace four-wide was still with a chance in the stretch, but could not find the winning late kick. PRINCE LIAM pressed the pace for the first half-mile, started to lose ground early on the far turn, and tired in the stretch. A SOLDIERS PAL went four-wide om the first turn, dropped far behind on the backstretch and was never a factor. ANDYS PLAN B shuffled back after the start, settled mid-pack early, dropped back past the half-mile pole, lost contact with the field midway through the far turn, was eased across the finish, and walked off.
