Chart notes
SHY DA RUNNER took command shortly away from the gate, opened a well rated, well measured lead through the turn, widened in upper stretch and held the runner-up safe late in the lane. SHOWDOWN KING reserved off the pace to the quarter pole saving ground along the inside, cut the corner turning for home, tipped out to the three path midway down the lane and closed well while unable to collar the winner settling for second best. GRAND MORNING prompted the pace to be well placed in striking distance at the top of the lane and lacked a closing kick in the stretch. CONDEMNATION stalked the pace from three wide, mounted a brief bid in upper stretch and flattened out late. RANSOM MONEY was not a factor.
