Chart notes
NUTS AND BOLTS broke alertly to take command from the gate, set a slow pace on a comfortable lead to the far turn, repelled the bid of the runner-up nearing the quarter pole and drew off while in hand in the final eighth. BAND ON THE RUN stalked the pacesetter for five-eighths, was put to a drive on the turn to loom at the quarter pole, was turned away by the winner and finished willingly as second best. COLE'S VALENTINE reared at the start, was rank the first time down the stretch pulling, raced up wide on the first turn, settled down the backstretch and rallied passed weaker coming home. FILLYRULES tracked the leaders from the fence to the far turn and lacked a response when called upon. LILLESAND was not a threat trailing throughout.
