Chart notes
E LION rated in hand along the inside just off the pace, gained ground late in the turn, angled five wide, bumped sideways upper stretch, regained momentum and closed with a rush to be along in time. FUNNYFLAME set a pressured pace to the top ofthe stretch, lost the lead midway down the lane, came again to re-take the lead late and was caught in the final yards in a game effort. MR MCGREGOR raced with the early pace into the first turn, settled just off the leaders onto the backside, was urged nearing the half mile pole to split rivals vying for the lead, took a short lead turning for home and was outfinished in the final eighth. SABI pressed the pace from three wide to the far turn, chased the leaders turning for home, was bumped by the rallying winner in upper stretch and finished evenly. THUNDERHAWK reserved off the pace racing near the rear of the compact field to the top of the lane, angled seven wide and rallied mildly without impact. AMBRIDGE raced mid-pack and lacked a closing response. ISLAND CRUISER was always outrun.
