Chart notes
MORIKAWA was away slowly to give the field a couple lengths, made a steady advance from the back from three wide through traffic on the turn, angled five wide for the drive, engaged the leaders in mid-stretch, dueled with the runner-up to the wire and prevailed in a determined drive. TEND TO YOU tracked the leaders to the turn, rallied from four wide to chalenge turning for home, vied for the lead through the lane, battled to the wire with the winner and was denied at the line while best of the rest. PLAYONWORDS set the pace opening a clear lead on the turn, battled to mid-stretch and weakened late. STANZ COMING prompted the pacefor a half mile, threatened in mid-stretch between rivals and flattened out late in a good try. MUSKET MAGIC stalked the pace to be well positioned turning for home and faded in the stretch drive. IPLEDTHEFIFTH failed to menace going evenly. KNICKS N STONES never posed a threat. FIFTY TWO FIFTY was not a factor and was not persevered with in the lane.
