Chart notes
NIJINSKY HALO chased after the leader two wide into the turn, challenged from outside at the five-sixteenths pole, took over in upper stretch, bumped midstretch and put CULTURAL away in the last sixteenth. SUMMER HAZE bobbled leaving the gate, chased along the inside then two wide on the turn, rallied in the lane and got up for second. CULTURAL set the pace in the early going, challenged by NIJINSKY HALO at the five-sixteenths pole, lost command in upper stretch, took a bump midstretch, fought to the eighth pole, then weakened in the last sixteenth. SEIGE THE DAY chased three then four wide, drifted in upper stretch and weakened in the late stages. WESTPORT CAPTAIN came away slow, traveled outside a rival near the back, went four wide into the lane and lacked a rally. TALISKER BAY raced well off the pace and angled to the inside, chased a bit off the rail into the lane and could not make an impact. MONGOLIAN MASTER lacked early speed, saved ground trailing the field and was never a factor.
