Chart notes
WINK OF AN EYE seized the advantage early, slowed the pace down to the half-mile pole, then quickened to a clear lead through the far turn, responded to strong handling in the stretch and held clear to the wire. TORTUGA ISLAND got away well and stalked the pace two wide early, moved up to engage WINK OF AN EYE through the far turn, dueled through deep stretch before yielding in the final yards. PEACH PERFECT raced two-wide at the back for the first half-mile, then stayed on late to gain third. DANCING CHIME went four-wide on the first turn, contesting the early pace, stayed that course down the backstretch, pressing the pace, came under pressure past the quarter pole, swung about six wide into the stretch, but lacked the needed response. TAVRIA chased at the back, close up for the first half mile, but did not respond when asked to quicken on the far turn.
