Chart notes
WHEREVER WE ARE unhurried to race near the rear of the pack, circled turning for home and closed with a rush on the outside to quickly take over and go clear. SHEZ UNTAPPABLE raced near the rear of the field early, rushed up to challenge on the turn, took the lead in mid-stretch and was outkicked by the winner while finishing willingly to hold the place. ANHINGA stalked the pace from the inside saving ground through the turn, rallied well up the rail but could not overcome the top pair. BOOGIE WOOGIE set the pace under steady pressure to the head of the stretch, dug-in when challenged to midway down the lane and weakened in the final furlong. ANGEL OF HARLEM pressed the pace through the turn, challenged in mid-stretch and gave way late in the drive. AWESOME EMPRESS raced in contention to midway on the turn and lacked a closing kick failing to menace. MISS BETTY was not a factor.
