Chart notes
ROUNDINGTHIRD held the rail while flanked by rivals from the outset, refused to yield as the trio carried their battle through the far turn, answered every challenge, then found another gear in the final sixteenth to settle matters. UNUSUAL ACTIVITY settled at the rear through the opening half-mile, advanced along the rail into the stretch, finished strongly, angled off the inside in the final yards, and finished with determination to hold second. HIGHLIGHTER was content to watch the early battle unfold from the rear, swept three-wide around the far turn, loomed boldly into contention at the head of the stretch, but lacked the needed response in the final furlong. J SQUARED vied three-wide for the lead, came under pressure midway on the far turn, stayed on willingly, but failed to change leads and flattened late. BAYTOWN ANUBIS pressed the pace between rivals, bid nearing the three-furlong pole, remained between horses turning for home, but weakened in the final furlong.
