Chart notes
CHESTNUT QUEEN vied for the early lead outside of rivals then took command, set a moderate pace to the quarter marker, kept to task to mid-stretch, led to the final sixteenth and held the runner-up at bay in deep stretch. QUEEN ELLEN forwardly placed away from the gate, tracked the early pace from the inside, waited for racing room while boxed in nearing the quarter marker, successfully tipped out to upper stretch and chased CHESTNUT QUEEN into the lane, couldn't get by the determined winner in the final sixteenth but was well clear of the rest for the place. LADY MAXIMUM settled in the second flight to begin, went up to track the pace between rivals heading to the turn, chased two to three wide nearing the quarter pole, ran in pursuit to upper stretch then was outkicked at the furlong marker, stayed on late and held well in the end for the show honors. EMPRESS OF EDO off a bit slowly and last away from the gate, rushed up three to four wide heading to the turn, chased the leaders approaching the quarter marker, couldn't find more into upper stretch and finished evenly in the drive. SAFFRON ROUGE away in good order, settled off of the early pace, trailed into the turn and did not factor in the stretch drive.
