Chart notes
SUYAY close up to the early pace, stalked the leading pair along the backstretch, bid three wide into the turn then took command nearing the quarter marker, kicked clear to upper stretch, drew off under urging into the final furlong then was ridden out to win as much the best. WALKERS BEACH vied for the early lead then took back, tracked the leaders into the turn then set down four wide nearing the top of the stretch, chased SUYAY to the furlong grounds, was no match late for the winner but kept on to be a clear second best. COACH MICHAEL last away from the gate, improved position into the turn while outside of rivals, swung five wide to upper stretch, couldn't impact the top pair into the stretch drive but kept on late and was a clear third. SIPPNSUMMERSPIRITS broke a half-step slowly then hard sent from the gate, disputed the early pace from the inside, dueled into the turn then lost ground nearing the quarter marker, couldn't find more to upper stretch then weakened in the drive. HIGHWAY PATROL showed good speed from the gate, vied for the early lead then dueled outside of SIPPNSUMMERSPIRITS along the backstretch, shook free of that rival midway through the turn and was overtaken approaching the quarter pole, ran in pursuit into the lane then faded in the drive. KATISCHUO void of early speed, trailed to the turn, was last to upper stretch and did not factor late.
