Chart notes
SUMMER ADI was quickest from the break and led along the rail through the turn, responded when set down in the stretch and was all out to hold off a late threat from the outside. TOODELIRIOUS (IRE) was last to break but rushed into contention along the inside, steadied repeatedly behind rivals with no clear path through the turn, split horses just past the three-sixteenths pole, and finished strongly, just failing to catch the winner. DEEP DESIRES tracked close up three wide, challenged the eventual winner approaching the quarter pole but was turned back, then stayed on willingly to hold third. B D'S ANGEL was bumped from both sides shortly after the start, raced three to four wide thereafter, launched a bid on the turn and loomed a threat in upper stretch, but weakened through the final furlong. NUEVA LUNA took a hard bump from the outside early, settled in cover in midpack, backed out of traffic and took up near the half-mile pole, was slow to regain momentum, remained behind rivals in upper stretch, then angled four to five wide at midstretch and finished with good interest. WILLOWY dropped back through the field after an even start, was shuffled back to last near the half-mile pole, switched outside for the stretch run but was unable to improve. CONSTANT CHATTER raced close up to the three-furlong pole, then steadily retreated and had little to offer through the stretch.
