Chart notes
FANCY FACTS away quickly to clear and crossed over, dueled from inside, maintained command through the turn, battled while drifting out in the late stages and gamely prevailed. CLUBHOUSE BRIDE went up to fight for the lead from outside, dueled around the bend, battled down the lane, got carried out by FANCY FACTS and lacked the needed late kick to get by. THE LOAN EXCHANGE got bumped and checked early, steadied off heels leaving the backstretch, angled out into the stretch, steered out further while closing late and finished a game third. DONTTELLMEWHATTODO chased two wide then had to pause when FANCY FACTS crossed in front early, followed between rivals through the turn, tipped out in the stretch, pursued determinedly in the final furlong but lacked the needed late punch and got edged for third. WHOPPER FACTOR got bumped and squeezed back early, settled inside near the back, hugged the rail to the stretch, rallied up the fence and missed a minor award. CALIFORNIA ROCKS got bumped hard between rivals early, chased from inside, two wide into the stretch, finished willingly down the lane but needed to find more. TAKING A JOY RIDE raced up close outside a pair of rivals, remained three wide to the stretch, moved out in the lane and went evenly late. HOW ABOUT PAVEL followed in range between rivals, had to wait when boxed in on the turn, moved out in the stretch and kept trying in the late stages. WE THE HOBBY unhurried from outside, raced three deep between runners into the turn, spun five wide into the lane, angled out further and lacked the needed response. BESSIE COLEMAN got bumped and crowded back leaving the gate, trailed three wide into the turn, swung five wide turning for home and passed tired rivals. PETIT FILET was off slow to begin, sat off the pace while wide up the backstretch, went four deep into the turn, came six wide into the stretch and failed to menace. A GREAT SHAKING was off slow from inside, chased along the rail then had to take hold when running up behind the leaders up the backstretch, settled into stride on the turn and faded down the lane. THERE WAS AN INQUIRY INVOLVING TAKING A JOY RIDE, THE LOAN EXHCANGE, CALIFORNIA ROCKS AND WHOPPER FACTOR EARLY IN THE RACING. THE STEWARDS UNANIMOUSLY RULED THAT TAKING A JOY RIDE DID INTERFERE WITH INNER RIVALS BUT SINCE SHE FINISHED BEHIND THOSE RUNNERS THERE WOULD BE NO CHANGE.
