Chart notes
IMPERIAL HONOR showed the way early under pressure, kicked clear from outer rival under urging at the top of the stretch, widened under steady handling and flagging from the crop and was in hand approaching the wire. DOMENICI was antsy in the gate, chased outside a pair of rivals, remained three wide to the stretch and bested the rest. MOONFLIGHT was off slow to begin, chased from off the pace then moved forward four deep, angled down to the two path around the bend and showed a mild rally to gain third. MOSIGMA was antsy in the gate, threw his head and hopped at the start, trailed then had one rival beat into the turn, advanced from outside around the bend, came four wide into the stretch and kept on to round out the superfecta. YOU WANT SOME pressed the winner from outside up the backstretch and around the turn, failed to kick on at the top of the lane and weakened in the furlong grounds. BOLD TYPE stalked the pace from inside, came under a ride at the five-sixteenths pole, hugged the rail to the stretch and weakened. CYPRUS AVENUE broke a bit slow, raced greenly up the backstretch and was under a hold into the turn, saved ground and passed rivals to the stretch, lacked room from the fence in upper stretch, tipped out into the clear and kept trying to the wire. MIXIT chased between, dropped back in the two path on the turn and had little left for the drive. MAGIC TIME chased three deep then off the rail, fell out of range into the turn, came three wide into the stretch and tired. A P OXBOW raced off the pace then fell back to last on the turn, went three wide into the lane and could not make an impact.
