Chart notes

MAGICAL TRICKSTER bumped with the outside foes at the start, settled mid-pack, was encouraged along three furlongs out racing off the inside, asked in earnest coming past the quarter pole, swung six wide into upper stretch, drifted out a bit at that juncture but took aim and straightened out, ran to the lead a sixteenth out and won going away. SIGNATURE WINNER advanced early up the backstretch outside the leading pair three wide into the turn, dueled through the bend taking the lead coming out of it, edged just clear in mid-stretch but was collared by an outside foe and no match while clearly second best. THE PENDULUMSWINGS was urged from the start, quickly took the early lead, set the tempo then faced a new challenger to the outside, dueled inside that one through the turn, yielded in the stretch. WASTELAND broke inwardly bumping a rival, settled into stride off the inside part of the track, was never near enough to threaten. HYPNOTIZM was a bit antic behind the gate, urged from the start moving up inside to press the pacesetter, dropped back entering the turn, ran on evenly in the stretch. NORTHERN KING raced well back and was not a factor. BAYTOWN THRACIAN was bumped and squeezed at the start then slow to gather, was not a factor.
