Chart notes
MINIMUM FORTY broke inwards on the start, angled in quickly getting the lead on the rail leaving the chute, dictated the pace inside down the backstretch, was unfazed relinquished the front end briefly on the fence in midturn, countered inside the pacesetter two wide regaining command in upper stretch and opened up sharply when asked for more in the final furlong. GIVE ME THE BOOTS moved closer on the rail leaving the gate but had to be checked in tight on heels at the eleven sixteenths pole entering the backstretch, recovered settling into stride sitting nicely behind the contesting trio at the half, continued to sit back drafting two wide watching the duel up front around the turn, shifted out getting a clear seam at the furlong pole but was no match for the winner who had plenty left late and held on besting rivals for the runners up share inside at the finish line. LUZ DE LA LUNA was squeezed between runners on the break, dropped back to last at the half, lagged behind the field well within striking distance around the oval, shifted to the four path turning for home and closed in belatedly securing the third spot while just missing outside for the secondary share at the wire. CLASSIC MOVE broke outwards then was knocked sideways leaving the gate, recouped vying between runners for the front end midway along the backstretch, dueled on the turn getting a neck in front briefly with challengers on each side at the five sixteenths pole, angled to the three path in the hunt in upper stretch, levelled off fighting up top by the furlong marker but still dug in winning the duel inside holding for a minor share I GOT MURPHED prompted the early pace outside two others down the backside, continued to battle three wide throughout the turn, shifted to the four path still in the mix turning for home but could not continue on in the late going and tired by the furlong marker. SOCIAL CODE travelled three deep along the backside having only one runner beaten at the half, took the overland route going four wide around the bend but was keeping pace with the leaders, moved out widest in the five path for the stretch drive but folded outside of rivals in the final eighth of a mile.
