Chart notes

SHAK TOWN got away alertly and soon moved clear to set the pace from off the rail, was asked in upper stretch, held well. GLASWEIGIAN settled mid-pack off the rail, swung six wide into upper stretch, gained mildly to capture the place while no real threat to the winner. SILVER IS BEST eased back from between runners early when in a hair tight, settled off the pace, went two to three wide on the turn, swung seven wide into upper stretch, gained mildly. SOUPER STRIDER lacked early speed dropping back to last, ran on in the stretch to improve position between runners late. RIDE FOR THE PURSE broke just a half-step slowly, raced inside saving ground on the turn, was under urging outside the quarter pole, ran on evenly. FRAC RIGHT was forwardly-placed inside then taken in hand to track in behind and off the leader, saved some ground on the turn, swung out four wide turning for home, drifted out a bit in the stretch and weakened late. ELGIN PARK moved forward outside racing up close in behind and leader and outside a foe two to three deep into the turn, floated five wide into upper stretch, shifted in then out a path and failed to make a bid.
