Chart notes
LEMON TWIST had only one runner beaten rating kindly down the backstretch, began to lengthen stride two wide with an outside rival at the five sixteenths po,e, shifted out five wide coming on at the quarter pole, angled to the six path very much in the conversation turning for home and charged home in the final eight of a mile to win going away in deep stretch. HOPE SHE FIRES lagged behind the group down the backside, started to rally three wide in midturn, circled rivals five wide with a quarter mile still to run, was floated out widest to the seven path turning for home and finished up smart,y but was outkicked by the winner in the final eighth while just getting up for the p,ace share coming to the wire. BIG LEW was forwardly placed inside another keeping a close eye on the frontrunner, began to reel in the leader midway through the bend, had the three path dueling up top at the head of the lane, poked his head in front between foes with a furlong still to run but could not fend off the outside closers in deep stretch easily taking the show money but just getting nabbed outside for second at the wire. INSTANT RESPONSE had the inside position sitting in midfield at the half, closed the gap smartly on the rail at the quarter pole, skimmed the fence still coming on entering the stretch, bid for the lead inside a furlong from the prize but evened out in the late running settling on the fringes. LUMBERYARD tracked the pacesetter in tandem with an inside runner, inched up on the leader two wide on the bend, moved to the four path in with a chance at the top of the lane but wilted between horses with a sixteenth remaining. SCREEN SCENE was nudged in early loose up front on the fence in the early going, rolled along unchallenged around the bend, had the two path clinging on the lead with the entire field seven abreast turning for home and had little to offer in the drive being engulfed by runners by the furlong pole. FEATHERWEIGHT ran as a pair with an inside foe sitting in mid-pack down the backstretch, narrowed the margin three wide through the turn at the quarter marker, shifted out five wide with anyone s race taking the corner but stopped having little left in upper stretch.RIDERS CLAIM OF FOUL #3 HOPE SHE FIRES AGAINST #2 LEMON TWIST AT THE QUARTER POLE WAS DISALLOWED
