Chart notes
COYSTER showed the best speed to take an early lead while being confidently handled, opened up late on the turn, and drew clear when asked in the upper stretch. CHIEF RENEGADE pressed the pace while always three to four wide, gave game chase down the stretch to COYSTER, but was unable to reel in that one. SENOR ROJO settled three to four wide in the middle of the pack and bided time for the stretch run, tipped out to the five-path, rallied to gain third while never a threat to the winner. RUNNINGINTHERAIN was sent hard from the break but unable to contest the early pace, was close up to the turn, then dropped to the two path through the turn and came back some late but was out-nodded for third. LEWIS BERE (FR) tracked in mid-pack three to four wide, then flattened out in the stretch. TAKE ACTION was devoid of speed and dropped far back early, continued wide through the turn, then came out seven to eight wide into the stretch and mildly improved. NINE LIVES ELMER broke well then dropped back to mid-pack, raced four-wide through the turn, then swung about six-wide into the stretch and faltered. SHUG'S ROCKET was outpaced through the early stages, kept to the inside path, but was unable to muster a late threat. SPEED BUMP BOB hustled from the start to attend the early pace, weakened on the turn, and had little to offer in the stretch. WHEELER DEALER steadily dropped back after an even beginning and was never a factor. Copyright 2026 Equibase Company LLC. All Rights Reserved.
