Chart notes
DOUBLE RIDE flew from the gate and got clear early, extended the lead through the turn, and just held on from a closing rival under strong handling while drifting out near the finish line. DISCREET MOB broke outward and bumped with the outside rival at the start, raced at the back of the main pack, angled out on the turn, then swung five wide into the stretch, closed determinedly, and just missed. JAIME'S COMMITMENT got away well, settled off the pace through the early stages, swung four-wide into the stretch, got put in a bit tight near the finish. FIRE BREATHER pressed the pace along the inside, loomed a big threat in upper stretch, had some trouble keeping a straight course in the stretch, put WHERE'S THE LOOT in tight quarters near the eighth pole, and was outfinished. WHERE'S THE LOOT pressed the early pace into the turn, was still in contention in mid-stretch but was bothered by an erratic FIRE BREATHER near the furlong marker and was outkicked in the final stages. UNDER OATH dropped far behind early, was eased, taken in a protective hold, galloped across the finish line, and walked off. THERE WAS A STEWARDS INQUIRY INTO THE ACTIONS OF #2 FIRE BREATHER IN MID-STRETCH. ALSO, THE RIDER ON #4 JAIME'S COMMITMENT LODGED A CLAIM OF FOUL AGAINST BOTH #6 DOUBLE RIDE AND #1 DISCREET MOB ALLEGING INTERFERENCE IN DEEP STRETCH. AFTER A REVIEW THE STEWARDS TOOK NO ACTION ON THE INQUIRY AND DISALLOWED THE CLAIM OF FOUL.
