Chart notes
BIG HUG was content to settle early, joined the leading pair with about a half-mile to go, then quickly took command before the far turn and drew clear impressively to prove much the best. HOLY BELLE settled off the pace and followed the trio up front into the final turn, then finished with good interest to gain the place while no match for the winner. WE THE FRINGE pressed the early pace two-wide until the final quarter, was unable to go on with the eventual winner on the far turn and was passed late for the place. CHI CHI TIME showed good speed from the start and set the early pace with WE THE FRINGE close up, fought on when joined by BIG HUG down the backstretch on the second circuit, then came under a ride and weakened with a quarter-mile to go, having little to offer in the stretch. BOUND FOR HEAVEN broke on top and remained close up through the first circuit, then began to fade down the backstretch on the second circuit and was no factor thereafter.
