Chart notes
BIG N SLOW pressed the early pace, steadily wore down SPLENDOR GLOW on the lead and edged ahead in the final yards. SPLENDOR GLOW broke best and sent to a narrow advantage with a pair of rivals pressing the issue to the outside, kept on well then gave way grudgingly in the final yards. GALANTINI pressed the pace three-deep to the turn, could not go on with the top two through the stretch but kept on well to hold well clear for third. GONNA PICK DOMENIC was outpaced and near the back early, stayed to the inside and showed some late interest. MAN OF QUALITY and was just off the early pace battle two-deep, loomed to the top of the stretch then flattened out. DANG IT DAN steadied at the break to avoid PLAYGROUND WARRIOR, moved to the rail path and came under a ride to keep contact with the field, moved up in range of the leaders before the turn, then started to weaken near the quarter pole and faltered in the stretch. FREE CHOICE veered in, then got shuffled back after the start while trying to avoid trouble, raced in last year and was unable to improve much in the late stages. TOWER GROVE PARK took a hard bump from the inside rival after the start, raced three to four wide and was never a threat. PLAYGROUND WARRIOR ducked out at the start, made light contact with GONNA PICK DOMENIC, dropped back, and was always outrun.
