Chart notes

HE'S A GENIUS was pushed from the break to get forward position, dueled with SUNSHINE LUTE through the turn, battled that rival gamely into the stretch and edged clear in the late stages. WANING CRECENT tracked behind the dueling leaders, remained in range through the turn, came out four-wide into the stretch, then continued steadily through the stretch to gain the place without threatening the winner. JMARK was unhurried early and settled toward the rear, was never far back, began to improve position approaching the stretch, and continued to run on late to gain third. MY PEACHES Q settled in mid-pack, lost a bit of ground through the turn, then continued evenly through the stretch and finished behind the top three. SUNSHINE LUTE broke well and showed early speed, was joined by the eventual winner through the opening stages, then gave way mid-stretch. GEORGE WHO was away slowly and settled near the rear, remained well behind through the turn and passed a tiring rival late. AMERICAN STORM trailed early, remained at the back through the turn, and failed to make an impact. EYECANDOTHISALLDAY tracked the pace in the early stages, lost position through the turn and faded through the stretch.
