Chart notes
IPLEDTHEFIFTH reserved off the pace to be near the back of the field, rallied circling five wide turning for home, steadily narrowed the gap from between rivals in the final furlong and prevailed late in a good effort. LEE THE CABBY slow early to be the trailer, angled seven wide at the haead ofthe lane and closed well on the outside to loom boldly at the sixteenth pole and hung late failing to get passed the winner. ALABAMA SLEEPER prompted the pace to the quarter pole, assumed command in upper stretch from the tiring pacesetter to be clear in mid-stretch and was outkicked in the final sixteenth. HE'S A PISCES stalked the pace for a half and lacked a closing response. JUDY CHOP raced mid-pack, failed to respond when called upon on the turn and faded from contention. SO GRAND set a fast pace on a clear lead to the head of the lane and gave way in upper stretch.
