Chart notes

FIGHTER IN THE WIN assumed command entering the backstretch setting a mild pace for these in the beginning, moved comfortably rationing out his speed quickening the tempo slightly on the engine around the bend, maintained a slim advantage inside having the two path with company bearing down turning for home and under a well rated ride had something left in the tank when urged right handed in the final furlong to pull away once again when crossing the wire for the front running score. MANSETTI rated kindly sitting off the outside flank of the pacesetter down the backside, dropped back a touch with the leader edging clear at the half, began to inch up again when nudged for more two wide at the quarter pole, angled to the three path posing the main opposition straightening out for the drive, almost got to even terms at the furlong pole but was fended off by the determined winner inside in deep stretch. LUCKY SCORE was allowed to settle into a rhythm at his customary spot at the back of the pack in the early running, started to get into another gear creeping up closer through the turn at the quarter pole, shifting to the two path finding his best stride late and closed in in deep stretch getting the nose in front at the wire for the third place share. TWIN CITY pulled at the rider having the rail sitting in mid-division along the backside, saved all the ground around the turn but could not make any headway on the engaged duo by the quarter marker, shifted out to the four path in upper stretch and was gaining gradually outside through the lane but just missed outside when losing the show photo. WAGSTAFF was under a snug hold four deep having one runner beaten along the backside, was scrubbed on for more three wide but was going in the wrong direction midway around the turn, moved out widest to the five path at the top of the lane but failed to menace in the stretch running.
