Chart notes
CARNIVAL LAD prompted the pace down the backside, closed the gap rallying along the fence on the far turn, took command going clear turning for home, dueled though the stretch with the runner-up, surrendered the lead briefly in mid-stretch, re-bid under strong handling and prevailed at the wire while drifting out in the final strides. MR BOBO reserved off the pace in mid-pack to midway on the far turn, rallied along the inside at the quarter pole, angled three wide splitting rivals at the top of the lane, drifted four wide to engage the leader at the eighth pole taking a short lead, bore-in at the sixteenth pole nearly coming together with the winner and battled to the wire only to be denied while being herded late in the lane in a good effort to just miss. MINOTAUR stalked the pace to midway on the final bend, rallied five wide turning for home and lacked a closing kick in the lane failing to match the top pair while running-on as best of the rest. BESTBALL saved ground to no avail going one-paced. MUSKET MAGIC set the pace on a clear lead to the far turn and gradually gave way. KUCH was not a factor. THE RIDER OF THE RUNNER-UP CLAIMED FOUL FOR INTERFERENCE IN LATE STRETCH BY THE WINNER, UPON REVIEW THE STEWARDS MADE NO CHANGE.
