Chart notes
SPEAKER'S SPEECH exchanged a light brush at the start but was quick to make the lead, set the pace from just off the rail, was asked in upper stretch, held sway while being kept to task to the wire. PLAY IT AGAIN tracked from inside, was encouraged near the quarter pole, tipped out in mid-stretch and chased the winner home closing the gap but was only second best. OKARITO was bumped at the start, angled in soon after settling inside at the back, advanced inside foes past the three-eighths, came out in mid-stretch, ran on but needed more. FREEDOM HALL stalked the eventual winner three to four wide early, moved in a bit for the far turn racing two to three wide and was asked passing the five-sixteenths, weakened in the stretch. KING'S COUNSEL came out a bit after the start, settled outside a rival at the back, continued near the back off the rail but advancing inside a foe on the far turn, angled six wide coming out of that bend, ran on evenly. UNCLE DODO exchanged a light bump at the start, stalked from between runners in the second flight, floated seven wide into upper stretch, failed to rally. AUTHENTIC GOLD bumped the outside rival at the start, was carried out soon after, settled mid-pack outside the second flight racing three to four wide, was encouraged along three furlongs out but dropped back.
